Solve the equation sinα cosec²α + cosα sec²α = 0 for -π < α < π, where α is in radians.

  1. (a)Solve the equation sinα cosec²α + cosα sec²α = 0 for -π < α < π, where α is in radians.[4]
  2. (b)(i)Show that cosθ/(1-sinθ) + (1-sinθ)/cosθ = 2secθ.[4]
  3. (b)(ii)Hence solve the equation cos3φ/(1-sin3φ) + (1-sin3φ)/cos3φ = 4 for 0° ≤ φ ≤ 180°.[4]
