Guideline 'Numbers': Animals used must be minimised / smallest number should be used; That will produce a valid result; E.g. Pepperberg only used 1.
Guideline 'Housing': Housing must be suitable e.g. in terms of: space; e.g. for exercise; social grouping / solitariness as appropriate; clean; but not too clean so as to distress the animal; E.g. Pepperberg allowed Alex out of his cage to fly around.
