Mark scheme

Marking points from the official mark scheme (May/June 2024). The mark or mark type is shown in brackets.

  1. One mark for each correct line
  2. Logic function (AND) -> Standard symbol (D-shape, two inputs, one output, no inversion)
  3. Logic function (XOR) -> Standard symbol (curved line on input side, two inputs, one output, no inversion)
  4. Logic function (NAND) -> Standard symbol (D-shape, two inputs, one output, with inversion bubble)
  5. Logic function (OR) -> Standard symbol (curved input, pointed output, two inputs, one output, no inversion)
