EITHER The curve C is defined parametrically by x = 18t - t² and y = 8t³, where 0 < t < 4.

  1. (i)Show that at all points of C, d²y/dx² = 3(9+t) / (2t²(9-t)³).[4]
  2. (ii)Show that the mean value of d²y/dx² with respect to x over the interval 0 < x ≤ 56 is 3/70.[4]
  3. (iii)Find the area of the surface generated when C is rotated through 2π radians about the x-axis, showing full working.[6]
