The linear transformation T : R⁴ → R⁴ is represented by the matrix A, where A = [[1, -1, -2, 3], [5, -3, -4, 25], [6, -4, -6, 28], [7, -5, -8, 31]].

  1. (i)Find the rank of A and a basis for the null space of T.[7]
  2. (ii)Find the matrix product A [[1], [-1], [-1], [1]] and hence find the general solution of the equation Ax = [[3], [21], [24], [27]].[3]
