A curve is such that dy/dx = 4x + 1/(x+1)² for x > 0. The curve passes through the point (1/2, 5/6).

  1. (i)Find the equation of the curve.[4]
  2. (ii)Find the equation of the normal to the curve at the point where x = 1.[4]
